This study was inspired by field data that do not conform to ideal conditions, so there is still little impact on student learning outcomes. In general, this study aims to describe how integrated thematic learning in grade V SD using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model improved student learning outcomes. Classroom action research, also known as CAR, employs both qualitative and quantitative methods. The study was carried out during the second semester of the academic year 2022–2023. The outcomes showed that in arranging cycle I acquired a normal of 87.45% then expanded in cycle II to 97.2%, execution of learning on the educator viewpoint, cycle I got a normal of 82.1% and encountered an expansion in cycle II to 92.8% and on the understudy perspective, cycle I got a typical score of 82.1% then expanded in cycle II to 92.8%, understudy learning results in cycle I got a typical score of 76.81 then expanded in cycle II to 89.73 . The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has the potential to enhance student learning outcomes in class V SD thematic learnin

THE PARADIGMOF SCIENCE-RELIGION INTERCONNECTION IN THE STUDY OF LANGUAGE: THE CASE OF ORIGINS OF LANGUAGE

    Get PDF
Language is the most important single characteristic that distinguishes human beings from other animal species. Human language appears to be a unique phenomenon. The ability of  human to communicate with one another in intelligent, symbolic, often abstract speech and writing is considered as a complete mystery to evolutionists. Even, they are unable to elucidate how language origanated. The linguists, then, propose various theories on the origins of language. Unfortunately, there is also insufficient theory which explains not only how human speech came about, but also why there are many different languages which have been developed in the world. In the paradigm of science-religion interconnection, such case can be connected to the exploration of verses of Qur’an which discusses human’s language. As a permanent miracle which was revealed by God the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God upon him) during twenty-two years of Muhammad’s messengership, the Holy Qur’an profoundly speaks about human linguistic communication. This discusses the theory of origins of human language based on perspective of Qur’an and science. The evidence conclusively implies that God creates humans with the unique ability in oral and written communication, and even teach them to speak

This paper discusses the concept of intercultural communication competence and intercultural communication in education settings. The digital era which is indicated by the explosion of communication technologies has tremendous implication for intercultural communication. Intercultural communication is a transactional and symbolic process involving the attribution of meaning between people from different culture. It may occur not only in virtual environment in which people interact through communication technology media, but also in non-virtual settings. The ultimate terminal of intercultural communication skill is the ability to interact appropriately and effectively with those from other cultural background. Thus, teachers should master the intercultural communication competence, as learners and teachers come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and bring a variety of expectations to the interaction

The development of the information technology and Internet has been transforming the healthcare industry. The internet is continuously accessed to seek for health information and there are variety of sources, including search engines, health websites, and social networking sites. Providing more and better information on health may empower individuals, however, ensuring a high quality and trusted health information could pose a challenge. Moreover, there is an ever-increasing amount of information available, but they are not necessarily accurate and up to date. Thus, this paper aims to provide an insight of the models and frameworks related to online health information seeking of consumers. It begins by exploring the definition of information behavior and information seeking to provide a better understanding of the concept of information seeking. In this study, critical factors such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence will be studied in relation to the value of seeking health information. It also aims to analyze the effect of age, gender, and health status as the moderator on the factors that influence online health information seeking, i.e. trust and information quality. A preliminary survey will be carried out among the health professionals to clarify the research problems which exist in the real world, at the same time producing a conceptual framework. A final survey will be distributed to five states of Malaysia, to solicit the feedback on the framework. Data will be analyzed using SPSS and SmartPLS 3.0 analysis tools. It is hoped that at the end of this study, a novel framework that can improve online health information seeking is developed. Finally, this paper concludes with some suggestions on the models and frameworks that could improve online health information seeking

This study has been conducted to examine the effectiveness of the eye massaging device to reduce massive amount of eyesight problem. The electrical activity of the muscles surrounding the eyes is recorded by using Neurofax EEG-9200 machine. Electroencephalography (EEG) is a process to determine the brain signal, while Electrooculography (EOG) is used to measure the biopotential produced by the changes in eye position and eye movement occurred. The conventional electrode setting (also called 10-20) system is applied on the scalp electrodes for EEG to record the brain signals. While five electrodes on the forehead is used to record EOG signals. Channel O1 and O2 that act as visual processing is selected in order to record EEG signals. The signal is analyzed using Wavelet Transform and the useful parameter, Energy of Approximation (Ea) was extracted. In this study, t-test analysis is used to validate the differences of data produced before and after using eye massaging device. Based on the results, the average value collected for EEG signals before using the eye massaging device has been decreased for both channel with the different (O1: 5.083, O2: 3.385). Thus, it is proved that the eye massaging device exhibit difference for each movement tested
